DLP / SLA resin 3D printer beginners’ shopping list. Things you’ll probably need

Resin printers are uber messy, and so unlike FDM much of what you’ll need is to do with containing the otherwise dangerous chemicals. So, here’s a short list of everything I use on a daily basis with my D7. YMMV but this keeps me clean and my resin tip top.   Nitrile gloves  Always have a pair of these on. While resin doesn’t seem to affect my skin, the flavour of it seeps in and so unless I wear gloves, even after washing extensively I’ll still get that acrid flavour unless. URGHH. Matteforge PLA – Matt Black – 2.85 – Review

I should really concentrate on the actual filament itself, however before I do I feel I need to just comment on how awesomely this product was brought into creation. As soon as I saw its unique selling point I was interested; a slightly matte finish which supposedly hides layer lines better than any other filament. 24 hours of adventure in DLP with the Wanhao D7

I have quite a lot of experience now with FDM and general 3d printing but SLA / DLP is something I knew nothing about. I know Form printers were capable of very intricate models but also carried a £3k price tag, had very expensive resin and a small buildplate. This made the kind of printing I wanted to do not viable on such a machine, and I certainly couldn’t afford to run one plus a capable 3d printing machine that uses traditional filament / FDM procedures. Anyhow, I had been hearing the buzz about that Wanhao D7, I knew...
